AI levels from Weak to Superintelligence

AI levels from Weak to Superintelligence

This technology has developed rapidly and penetrated various aspects of our lives, from business applications to health services and entertainment.

AI has penetrated various aspects of our lives, changing the way we work, communicate and interact with the environment around us.

However, when we talk about AI, we often hear about “tiers” or “levels” of artificial intelligence.

Artificial Intelligence Levels

In general, Artificial Intelligence or AI has 3 levels, namely weak, medium and superintelligence.

These three levels have their respective capabilities and are used for various different purposes.

The following is an explanation of the AI levels from weakest to strongest:

Weak AI or Specific AI System level

This level of AI refers to systems created to handle certain tasks of a specialized nature. A frequently encountered example is a chatbot, a computer program created to communicate with humans via text or voice.

Chatbots are commonly used in consumer service, where e-commerce companies use them to guide customers in searching for products, answer questions about shipping policies, and handle consumer complaints effectively and efficiently.

Apart from that, this type of AI is also found in recommendation systems used by streaming services such as Netflix and Spotify, which utilize machine learning algorithms to learn user habits and provide content suggestions that suit their preferences.

Strong AI or General AI System level

At this level, AI has the ability to complete various tasks and learn from their experiences. One of the most visible examples of strong AI is autonomous cars.

Autonomous cars use advanced AI technology, such as radar sensors and cameras, to drive without human assistance.

They can detect and respond to changes in the surrounding environment, such as traffic lights, pedestrians, and other vehicles on the road. Additionally, virtual assistants such as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa are also examples of powerful AI.

They can answer questions, provide information, set schedules, and even execute voice commands using an understanding of natural language and user context.

Superintelligence

superintelligence is the highest level of AI that will possibly exceed human intelligence in every way.

Although still a theoretical concept, some examples of potential applications of superintelligence include complex problem solving in a variety of fields, from scientific research to the development of new technologies.

For example, in the health sector, superintelligence can be used to analyze genomic data and predict the risk of genetic diseases with a high degree of accuracy.

In finance, superintelligence can be used to analyze financial markets and make investment predictions with greater accuracy than humans.
